Charles Jay “C Jay” Thompson of Springdale Township

A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Mt. Horeb Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8905 Ridgeview Road, Mt. Horeb, WI. A gathering with family and friends will be from 1:00 PM until 2:55 PM on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials preferred. We would like to thank the Mt. Horeb EMT and Dane County Deputy Sweeney for their support during a very difficult time.  

Charles Jay “C Jay” Thompson, age 75 of Springdale Township, WI fell asleep in death on Monday, May 28, 2018 at home. He was born on October 15, 1942 in Danbury, CT to Charles John and Ruth E. (Targett) Thompson. He was a US Air Force veteran. C Jay was united in marriage to Deborah “Debby” DeVito on May 17, 1975 in Stamford, CT. He owned and operated C Jay Marble Granite and Tile, Inc. until his retirement in December of 2011. He was a member of the Mt. Horeb Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debby; children: John (Mary Beth) Thompson of Mt. Horeb, Tammy Peterson of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren: Katie Richardson, Julian Thompson, Jacob and Matthew Peterson; one great-grandson: Liam; sister: Elizabeth “Betsy” Drumm of  Skowhegan, Maine; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Lynn Malin, and brothers-in-law: Ron Drumm and Steve Malin.
