Leon touched nearly every person he met. It is easy to see him in his cowboy hat, toothpick in his mouth, saying just exactly what he thought, never withholding the truth. Usually, there was a joke or two in there, for the man had a great sense of humor that brought much laughter to all.  Leon’s love of ranching, livestock, and rodeo in his generation makes him one of the last “real” American Cowboys.  There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or fix, sometimes even without any tools in sight.  Leon had a great love for country music and taught himself to pick guitar at an early age.  Music was the constant in his life that supported him and his family when there wasn’t any other means.  He continued to provide happiness with his music to many up until the very end.  His legacy of love, music and laughter will live on through eternity.
